Barbie doll Katrina Kaif will no longer be able to continue as the brand ambassador of IPL team Royal Challengers Bangalore.

According to the reports, the actress thinks that she cannot do justice towards her duty and responsibility because of her hectic shooting schedule.

Katrina has stepped down as the brand ambassador of Royal Challengers as she will be busy shooting for her upcoming film “Mere Brother Ki Dulhan” which will clash with the IPL-4 which will commence on 8th April.

A source stated “Katrina Kaif is a thorough professional and believes in giving her 100 per cent to all her commitments. She is an avid sport’s enthusiast and wanted to be present for all of the team’s matches to cheer them on.”

The source added “However, since she will be shooting during IPL-4, she has decided to opt out of the Royal Challengers since she wouldn’t be doing justice to them.”

Director Farah Khan is quite confident that her favorite steamy Bhojpuri kind of choreographed song ‘Sheila Ki Jawani’ will boost Katrina’s career.

The director quite jokingly claims that this song, a highlight of the film, could pioneer Katrina’s career to greater heights as she would be making more money through stage performances.

“Sometimes it`s hard enough to take decisions, professional sometimes but mostly personal and wherever the decision that you have to take, it`s very difficult to take them and if you have to make them in front of everybody, whether it`s media, or the public or the world, I think that`s a little bit more than what I can handle. That`s why for six years, I have never commented who I am with, if I had a break up, if there is an argument,” Katrina further said.

The actress said she thinks commitment changes with situation.

“If you commit to something, you must stand by. But if you commit to something and the situation changes, then perhaps the commitment also changes,” she said.

Rumours of a romance brewing up between Katrina Kaif and Ranbir Kapoor just refuse to die down. Even though it’s been months since they stepped out together in public, latest buzz in tinsel town says they had a secret date in London this week.

Katrina, as you must all know by now, has been in Spain to shoot for director Zoya Akhtar’s film Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara and took some time off from work last Sunday to be with her family in London for a week.

“Last week, while filming the bullfight for Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara in Pampelona, several matadors came to meet the actress and a couple of them even proposed to her.

They seemed quite smitten by Kat’s charms and refused to leave till she met them.

She’s away in Spain shooting for Zoya Akhtar’s Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara, so there won’t be any party for the actress in Mumbai but she’s not missing out on any of that. In fact, the actress admits that she’s happy to get away from the rains in Mumbai.

“My sisters have flown down from London to be with me and so has my three-year-old niece. I have not been able to spend time with her, so today that’s what I’m going to do,” she said on a long distance call from Spain.

The Cancerian might not have grand plans to celebrate her birthday, but she does have three wishes she wants to see fulfiled. “I want happiness, peace of mind and a lot of good film offers. I want to work in a film directed by Yashji someday,” said Katrina, who being in the top league of Bollywood actresses, won’t find it to too difficult to make her wishes come true. “I have had my share of battles. Life’s been tough. But now I want a smooth sailing,” she said.

Kat believes she’s a destiny’s child. “I came from nowhere and within six years, I’ve managed to make a place for myself in Bollywood. I think that’s because I live by my principles and one of them is not doing films for the sake of money. If people thought my debut film Boom was for monetary reasons then I would say it was due to sheer ignorance that I got myself in that film.

But now I’m happy, even though I only work and have no life other than that,” she laughed. But for her, that’s the beauty of her job, it takes her places and allows her to meet different people. “In Zoya’s film, I’ve been zipping around on bikes, I did some deep sea diving too and it’s been fun. It’s not that I learned bike riding because of this film, I’ve always known how to ride bikes,” said the actress, revealing her sporty side. “I enjoyed watching the Spain-Germany football match here. Football mania had really gripped Spain. But unfortunately, I couldn’t catch all the matches because I was busy shooting,” she said.

There have been talks of how all work and no play has taken a toll on her health. She has been fainting on the sets due to low haemoglobin levels. “They are all Chinese whispers. I’m not sick as I’m made out to be. I was weak last December but that’s about it. I work out, eat well and take good care of myself. My trainer can vouch for that,” she said and added, “Actually I’m not accessible to people all the time, that’s why they cook up stories about me.”

But all that doesn’t affect the actress who has her faith keeping her afloat. “I’m a very spiritual person. I pray a lot. I feel God has his hand over me. I’m being looked after so I do my bit helping my mother with her charity. It gives me peace.” And when the time comes for her to call it quits in the film industry, Kat says she’ll happily hang up her boots. “I have not planned what I’ll do later on, but I’ll definitely move on in life,” she said.

Katrina Kaif today said she is personally “inspired” by Congress President Sonia Gandhi and would “jump at an opportunity” if offered to play her role in a film.

“I think what she (Sonia) has achieved is incredible. It is a great inspiration.”, the actress, in the city to promote her latest film Rajneeti, based on a political drama, and slated for release on June 4 told mediapersons today.

The model-turned actress, whose father is of Indian origin and mother a British, said Gandhi was an important person, and she would love to play her role. “I would jump at such an opportunity”, she said if offered to play her part.

Asked to name an ideal politician, she identified the Congress President, “but it is more as a woman and her life than a politician”, Katrina, who grew abroad and swept the Indian audience despite her smattering Hindi, said.

Katrina plays the role of Indu Sakseria in Rajneeti, whose personal happiness is dependent on changing electoral fortunes of her love and even a slight shift in the faultline of political negotiation would cause a devastating consequence in her personal life.

She rejected media speculation that her role in the film Rajneeti had resemblance to Gandhi.
The 25-year-old actress says she plays the role of a normal girl who is brash and spoilt and immature and goes through a journey in life where she is forced to grow up.

“Interested in politics, yes I am, but do I understand, no I don’t”, said the actress.
Politics she said was in some way like poverty. “You are interested, you wish you could do something about it, but dont know where to start”. “It was a world far beyond my comprehension”, she said adding that it needed to be “gifted” in this field to succeed.

On her Hindi, she said “I know I have an accent, but I am working on it and trying to improve on it in every film”.

She admitted she was more comfortable in English but was working “step by step” on her Hindi as well.
The actress did not appear apprehensive at all about her role in a political drama. She said that going by the success of her film New York, which she was initially apprehensive of, she was sure that her fans would accept her in such a role in the film Rajneeti.
